The House of Commons is today dealing with the final legislative stages of the Cities and Local Government Devolution Bill. This Bill provides the legislative framework to devolve many more powers to Greater Manchester which is a key part of the Nrthern Powerhouse plans.
I anticipate there will be a Government statement on the devastating floods which have affected North Lancashire and Cumbria over the weekend.
