Remembrance Sunday

A busy day with four services for me to attend. Starting with 8am Communion I will then attend the Civic Parade and Service at Bury Parish Church. This afternoon I will attend the Tottington Parade and service before finally attending the roll call service of remembrance at St. Anne’s this evening.

We must never forget the ultimate sacrifice so many men and women have paid so that we may enjoy freedom today.

Bury was once again ready represented at the National Festival of Remembrance last night when the Rev Hugh Bearn played a key role. This year he was joined by his younger son Freddie who carried the  Standard of the Royal British Legion following his success in their National competition for Standard Bearers earlier in the year.
