More EU petitions

The Petitions Committee have scheduled several European Union related petitions for debate today in what I call, and indeed is effectively now, the Petitions Debate slot in Westminster Hall. Personally I think that even those these petitions reach the 100,000 threshold the issue is settled and all we are doing is going over the same ground. We did not really have time to debate the issue fully in the Sunday Politics programme this weekend but it seems clear to me that there will always be 100,000 voters prepared to sign any pro-EU/anti-government petition whatever the government does and whatever deal is reached. Some people simply do not accept the referendum result and I think it I should time we moved the debate on.
