Many thanks to all those who took the time and trouble to enter the Brandlesholme Scarecrow Festival this year. Lots of people have told me how much they enjoyed going round and seeing all the different scarecrow ideas people had come up with.
My wife, along with Councillor Sarah Kerrison and businessman John Ainscow spent several hours judging all the entries. They were of a very high standard and it was clear local residents, businesses and community groups and spent a lot of time on their entries. The winner in the business/ commercial section was the 18 Minions at Brandlesholme Hall Farm which I understand took five days to design and put up!
