Today is the first full day of the new Theresa May Premiership but last night the new Prime Minister hit the ground running. George Osborne left the Government, Philip Hammond moved from the Foreign Office to take over as Chancellor of the Exchequer, Amber Rudd took over Theresa’s old job as Home Secretary and Boris Johnson moves in to become the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs. Crucially the new department which is to oversee the UK’s departure from the EU will be led by the experienced David Davis. Dr Liam Fox will lead a new Department for International Trade as we get back the power to make our own trade agreements this will be a crucial role. There will be many more changes in the hours and days to come.
