Bury Ladies Lifeboat Guild ( and I declare an interest as Susan is a member ) is raising funds for the RNLI at The Theatre Royal in Ramsbottom on Friday 15th January starting at 7.45pm. The Summerseat Players are putting on a performance of The 39 Steps and the proceeds will go to the RNLI.
In Parliament the Housing and Planning Bill completed its stages in the Commons yesterday as the first ever use of the new procedures for English bills was used with the expected complaints from the Scottish Nationlist Party. The SNP have one of their Opposition debates today which will be the main business after PMQ’s. They have chosen to debate the economy.

On the economy, SNP will probably have a whinge about the ‘English’ pinching all their tax. Given that oil is heading towards 30$ a barrel. I give the anti nationalists Scots full credit for understanding as a mature UK we are better together. Complete opposite when it comes to the EU. What a waste of space that Brussels lot are.
