Just months after the terrorist attack on the offices of Charlie Hebdo Paris has once again been the subject of horrific terrorist attacks. Scores killed and injured. Our thoughts and prayers must be for all those who have lost their lives and with their loved ones. Families torn apart and whose lives will never be the same again.
These events surely strengthen the need to give our police and security services all the powers they need to detect terrorist plots.
I anticipate there will be a statement to the House of Commons when we return on Monday.
