Saturday saw the arrival of the Olympic torch pass through Bury as part of its nationwide tour. Thousands turned out to welcome the torch and fortunately the rain kept away!

  1. P.R. was rejected in a referendum, so why not have P.R. for electing members of the house of Lords?
    Then after a few years we use that system for the commons, everyone will forget the vote against P.R. in a referendum. Wont they?
