PMQ’s

Today, as usual on a Wednesday the most high profile event has been Prime Ministers Questions Time where the Prime Minister was questioned on wide range of subjects ranging from banks to the regeneration of Gloucester.

I have attended a meeting of the Procedure Committee where we discussed a number of matters relating to the enquiries we are currently investigating. Following that I attended a meeting of the Backbench Committee (often seen referred to as the 1922 Committee) where we addressed by the Foreign Secretary the Rt. Hon. William Hague MP.

I was pleased that the England cricket team kicked off their T20 campaign with a win in Adelaide but the game was put into perspective by the floods in Queensland and I noted that not only was a collection taken to help the flood victims but I also read that the players had decided to donate part of their Match fees to the fund providing help for those who have suffered as a result of the devastating floods.
