Many thanks to the Head Jim Graves and all the staff and pupils at St. Joseph’s R.C. Primary School in Ramsbottom for their warm welcome this week when I visited. I always enjoy visiting our schools in Bury. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of so many talented teachers the next generation are being taught all the skills they need to succeed in 21st century Britain.

Thanks also to the Rotary Club in Bury where I paid a visit on Wednesday. For obvious reasons I am not able to attend the weekly meetings as much as I used to but it was good to see the usual banter was not lacking and they are all continuing to raise thousands of pounds every year for charity.
