As many MP’s think about how they can progress their own careers in Westminster life goes on in the constituency. Yesterday, was the usual day of casework, admin. and meetings.
In the morning I attended the Careers Progression Day at Holy Cross College. They had a whole host of speakers and representatives from different organisations and companies to help give information to the students about their future career. I was delighted to be able to give a group of he students information about a career in politics which as I explained is much wider than just being an elected representative. There are a wide variety of other roles in policy development, research and in communications which offer interesting careers.
