I was invited to attend Explore Learning in Bury this week and help judge the pupils oral and written presentations in their World Leaders project. The students had to create their own political party and come with policies to solve the World’s problems. The problems were the expected ones of poverty, poor sanitation, poor healthcare. lack of jobs and housing etc. The solutions they thought of were innovative if perhaps a little difficult to achieve in practice. It was however a great way to encourage young people to start to engage in the political process and consider how to improve the World.
