This morning Sue and I were in the audience for the weekly broadcast by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir called ‘Music and the Spoken Word.’ It is the World’s longest continuing network broadcast show. It was very impressive and professional. We then spent a couple of hours looking around the Temple Square buildings which are part of the World Headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was interesting to see how much charitable work they do right around the World much of it unsung and they just get on with things for the love of mankind.
Then after a Chinese meal for lunch we went with our friends up to the resort of Sundance. Although most people associate the state of Utah with desert a large part is mountainous more akin to alpine conditions with lots of ski resorts. Unfortunately, the weather has been dull and a bit rainy/ sleety. The visibility was poor so we missed out on seeing the scenery which we were told about. We finished the day with a meal in Park City a thriving resort/ town with lots of trendy shops very, very different to Bury I have to say!
