I have been over to visit my goddaughter Debbie this weekend as she has reached the grand old age of 5. We celebrated her birthday with a barbecue and I particularly enjoyed her Mum’s homemade Banana and Custard ice cream.
Yesterday I spent a couple of hours down at Radcliffe helping out at the project to refurbish the Radcliffe Boys and Girls Club which my colleague Councillor Michelle Wiseman the Parliamentary Candidate for Bury South is organising. It is a substantial Victorian building but it is very evident that it has seen better days and I am sure that once the project is finished all those who use the building will see real benefit.
I should add a very big “Well Done” to the England cricketers who despite the below par display on the day I went to watch them performed superbly to beat the Aussies and regain the Ashes.
