David at Bury Hospice Party in the ParkDespite the forecast rain I am pleased to say tha the rain has only just arrived here in Tottington and other than some very fine drizzle at the Bury Hospice Party in the Park at Close Park it has been fine all day. The Party in the Park seemed to be going well when I was there and I just hope that the event was a success because I know how much planning goes into organising such an event. The picture shows me having a go the Tombola – for once a successful go because I won a woolly beany hat and an address book!!
On the way to the Hawkshaw Gala I called in at Walshaw Sports Club to watch the opening exchanges of the game between Walshaw Seconds and Little Hultonwhich had been sponsored by Bury Rotary Club. Little Hulton looked to be on top and I will be intersted to see if Walshaw managed to prevail on the end.
Hawkshaw Gala was busy and visitors were being entertained by the Stockport Steel Band which got me in the mood for Music in the Park tomorrow. I just hope the rain has moved on by then and the sun is shining!
