Tottington AGM

I have been to my own Ward’s Annual General Meeting tonight. For the uninitiated local politics certainly within the Conservative Party ( and I believe also in the other major parties ) is based around the Ward. This is the organisation that is responsible for organising the party at what is often termed grassroots level. The Wards generally reflect the Local Authority Ward boundaries. The Bury North Parliamentary Constituency is now made up of 8 Wards of which Tottington is one.
