On the eleventh day of the eleventh month to me it seemed perfectly natural, sensible and commonsense that when England play Scotland at football they would want to wear the poppy on their kit. Incredibly, the hierarchy at FIFA the international bosses of football decided that this would be against their rules! What rules are these then? Rules which stop sportsmen from showing their respect to the millions who have died in past conflicts. It is not religious. It is not political. It is not commercial. Our Football Association must stand firm and I am sure the whole Country will be them.
