Well today is the day. After 21 years of Labour rule in Bury it could all change today. I have been out campaigning throughout Bury over the last few days and the Conservative message has been much more readily received than has been the case in past years. People are undoubtedly prepared to listen to what we have to say. Conversely, people seem fed up with Labour and there is a feeling that it would be no bad thing if there were a change. Whether there is a change of control in Bury today depends on what happens in the key marginal wards. There is the opportunity to change and I hope the people of Bury will make that change.
