David with the Radcliffe Carnival Queen and Geraldine Greene from HurdlesLast night Sue and I attended the Mayor’s Charity Dinner and Ball held at the Elizabethan Suite at Bury Town Hall. The Dinner was held to raise funds for the Hurdles Charity. Over two hundred attended and hopefully thousands of pounds will have been raised for this excellent charity. In addition to a raffle and an auction there was a tombola on which the Radcliffe Carnival Queen was helping out despite the fact that it was her birthday!
