Campaign team meeting

No sooner has this years campaign finished than we start to look forward to the next campaign. Yesterday, after a gym and swim session in the morning followed by some shopping with my wife Susan I worked on some campaign papers in the afternoon and attended a meeting to discuss the next campaign in the evening. It clashed with the Social Committee meeting at St.Anne’s Church so as soon as it had finished I headed off to attend the last part of that meeting. I was disappointed it rained at Lords as I hoped England might have bowled out the W. Indies to win the first test but it was not to be. I am off to watch the first two days of the next Test at Leeds next Friday and Saturday so I hope we have better weather then.

  1. I want to see Europe do less and what it doe do it should do it better. As for value I think that we will get much better value once the Conservatives are in Government.
With regard to the Assisted Dying Bill I do not think there is a great deal of public support to introduce such a measure. My own view is that it could be seen as the thin end of the wedge. Unfortunately I do not have enough time at the moment to write at length on this complex subject but I will in the coming weeks and months open another permanent page just for these type of issues where my views will be set out fully

  2. Mr Nuttall,

I note from your ‘blog postings’ you seem to be a regular church goer. What are your views on Lord Joffe’s Assisted Dying Bill?

  3. Mr Nuttall,

Britain’s membership of the European Union is said to be costing between 15 and 25 billion per year. That’s roughly £1000 for every family in the land. Do you think that is good value for money for the tax payer of this country?

  4. All those who wish to read more about Conservative Party policy should click on the link to the right for The Conservative Party. For those that do not know the Party has established six Policy Groups that will be reporting later this year. As to my position unless I state otherwise I support official Conservative Party policy 100%. Where free vote issues arise then I propose to post how I would vote on this site as I did with the issue about gay adoption earlier this year.

  5. I’ll second that. This is what you should be talking about David instead of prattling on about going to the gym, having a swim and then doing some shopping with your wife. Who cares? I sometimes wonder if you know what a politician’s purpose is? Since you seem to constantly shy away from tackling anything important.

  6. Do you believe that the Conservative Party can restore the full authority of Westminster? Where the MPs we elect defend our interests, rather than accept rule from Brussels by bureaucrats we neither vote in nor have power to dismiss.
