A mandate to rule

Last night I attended a meeting of the Conservative Group on Bury Council. Unfortunately ( from the point of view of this blog! ) the discussions were confidential so I can not reveal anything. I will however point out that for the second year running the Conservatives secured more votes than Labour – not just a handful more but thousands more. It is therefore understandable why many people in Bury believe the Conservatives have a mandate to run our town.
Today after my ‘holiday’ last week for the elections it was back to work.
