It is now past 10am and after a few hours sleep an opportunity to reflect on last night’s results. Overall the Conservatives finished the night as the largest Party on Bury Council after Labour lost three seats. We gained another seat in Radcliffe by winning Radcliffe North and lost Unsworth by just 4 votes. Labour lost two seats to the Liberal Democrats. I would describe Conservative progress as steady but not spectacular. In the long run I want to see our success built on firm foundations and that is what we are doing in Bury. Not a sudden flash in the pan but long term development of the political fortunes of the Conservative Party in Bury.
The work continues…..
