Burns Night

Last night I attended St. Annes’ Burns Night Dinner. I have been to many Burns Night celebrations in different places over the years and last night was certainly one of the better ones. An excellent meal and I particularly enjoy the Haggis Neeps and Tatties! The haggis was piped in and although I have no aptitude at all when it comes to Scottish Dancing ( or indeed any dancing! ) I had an excellent evening. On a political note it is worth mentioning how many people ask me when the next general election will be…. because they want to get rid of the Labour Government… and they are usually both surprised and disappointed when I tell them that it could be at least another three years.
