Cost of living- UP!

I have been to meetings with Party colleagues in Bury the last two evenings. All very boring stuff and of course strictly confidential! All I can possibly post on a public website is that a certain event coming up on May 3rd could well have been mentioned ( yes, the local elections! ).
I see the inflation figures were released yesterday and I have issued a press release highlighting the fact that for so many people the official figures bear no relationship to reality. For many people on fixed incomes the increase in their pension or benefit is always outstripped by rises in the cost of heating and council tax.
