Happy Birthday Scouting

We were reminded by the Vicar at church this morning that Scouting celebrates its 100th birthday this year. Today was the first Parade service of the year when the Scouts, Guides,Brownies, Cubs, Rainbows and Beavers all attend church and present their standards. As a former Scout I always enjoy Parade services and the memories they bring back.

Later I attended the Farmers Market at Ramsbottom. The weather was fine and it was very well attended.

Finally, congratulations to former Woodhey pupil Antony Cotton on winning Soapstar Superstar last night he performed excellently and whilst he might not have the best voice he certainly produced entertaining performances.
