Bury Rugby Club have been awarded a grant £49,134 from Sport England’s Inspired Facilities Fund. They are planning to use the fundsprovide additional floodlighting to their pitches, improve the pitch surrounds add more showers in the changing rooms and improve the clubhouse facilities..
Bury Rugby Club was founded back in 1875 and now has a very active junior section with over 250 players enabling teams to be fielded from under 7′s right up to under 19′s.
As someone involved in amateur sport I know how clubs like Bury Rugby Club are reliant on subscriptions, fundraising and donations so grants like this provide a welcome boost and I trust the works will be soon completed and the Club continues to thrive.
