Today after church I attended the Pets in Need Spring Fair at Greenmount Old School. After visiting all the stalls I went on to Ramsbottom Cricket Club to attend a fund raising lunch for the local Conservatives. The speaker was the former Member of Parliament for Rossendale Sir David Trippier. At the time David represented Rossendale Ramsbottom was part of that Constituency rather than Bury North as it is now and there were some members who remembered David from his days as their MP. Jacquie Foster who used to be a Member of the European Parliament for the North West was also attended the event.
